NAtional Framework for Women’s Health

A website is launched National Framework for Women’s Health: Building a Stronger Future for Women’s Health in Canada to garner support for Bill S-243 – a national framework for women’s health in Canada with links to social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, and Threads. It is later folded into the website of the Women’s Health Coalition of Canada.

Bill S-243 Tabled

On December 9, 2025 Senator Daniele Henkel tabled Bill S-243 – An Act to establish a national framework for women’s health in Canada tabled in the Senate.

Institute of Gender and Health

the Canadian government allocated $20 million to the Institute of Gender and Health to fund 10 hubs at $840,000 each over 4 years, and in 2024, funded up to $1.2 million over 3 years.

WHCC Formed

Women’s Health Collective Canada (WHCC) is formed as a strategic alliance between BC Women’s Health Foundation (Vancouver), Alberta Women’s Health Foundation (Edmonton), and Women’s College Hospital Foundation (Toronto).
